Leadwork

Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfriesshire

Built in 1603, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Buccleuch, the castle roofs were restored by Estate staff and D Blake and Co carrying out the carpentry and leadwork respectively.

Work started in 1977 and after laying over 300 tonnes of Code 8 lead sheet it was completed in 1995.
